BEGINNER DRUM LESSONS
Ages 8 to Teens and Adults

DO I NEED DRUMS AT HOME... AND ARE THEY LOUD?
There are a lot of great options for you to practice at home depending on budget, your housing situation, space and preference. Acoustic Drums are the traditional kit to go with, but are loud. If noise doesn't bother you, and you have the space, they are a great way to go. If you want a quieter way to practice, electronic drum sets are extremely quiet, but sound great in headphones. For younger beginners, a practice pad and some sticks might be enough to get started. Your teacher will chat with you about different options in your first lesson.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT MY FIRST LESSON
Expect to have FUN! At your first lesson, you'll spend a few minutes chatting with your teacher to tell them if you've ever played before or if you're a beginner. If you're a beginner, they we'll start at the beginning with your first beats and the beginnings of reading drum music. If you've played before, your teacher will make a plan with you to help you work on any specific areas you're looking to improve in on as a drummer.
